PDS Collaboration: Teaching Fellows

Professional development schools

Professional Development Schools (PDS) are collaborative partnerships between school districts and universities that provide opportunities for teachers and administrators to shape the development of the teaching profession positively influence student learning in the schools. Southern Illinois University’s College of Education and Human Services have partnered with four school districts to conduct PDS activities:

  • Carbondale Elementary District #95
  • Giant City Consolidated School District #130
  • Murphysboro Community Unit Schools District #186 and
  • Unity Point Community Consolidated School District #140
